DIWALI with BIBA INDIA

1:02 PM

Hello Fashion Bugs

How have you all been doing? Welcome to yet another blog post! This time I am super excited because Diwali is almost here & the festive fervour has already begun! Also known as the festival of lights Diwali is celebrated all across India, undoubtedly the best time of the year to flaunt your style & up your glam quotient. I mean who doesn't want to look good during this time of the year? Frankly speaking it has been a very hectic week for me, running all over the place to pick up gifts for mom, my aunt & close buddies to cleaning my room (OMG), shooting & then stepping out at night to meet my friends. But who's complaining? Diwali to me is much more than just rituals & religious ceremony. Its about dazzling diyas, colourful rangolis, mouth watering food, endless gifts (if you're at the receiving end) & of course night long card parties! Oh and dancing & lots of alcohol too! Haha!! It definitely brings in a sense of enthusiasm, positivity, happiness amongst all of us!

So I am not gonna delay this any further so lets get started. Have you decided on your Diwali outfit yet? I am super sorted this year with BIBA. Have you seen Biba's latest festive collection? The collection is a fine mix of traditional as well as contemporary pieces. It was literally so difficult for me to select one single outfit because their latest collection houses some exclusive pieces perfect for every occasion you plan to attend. I selected a gorgeous royal blue ensemble - a flared skirt, a gota-patti crop top & embroidered jacket to keep the Indian spirit alive. I love the 'ghera' & specially the length of the skirt (it makes me look so tall). The fabric is very light though it looks a bit heavy but trust me its not! Hosting a Diwali bash at your home or going to your best friend's card party, this outfit will fetch you compliments and I can vouch for that! However the main reason of choosing this specific piece was because the outfit is 'oh-so' versatile and I can think of so many different ways of styling the separates! I absolutely love the way the whole look has turned out & I love the fact that its not OTT. I decided to go minimal with my accessories for a change, so just a cuff! No, not even a pair of earrings!

If you haven't checked out Biba's latest collection, make sure you do & visit your nearest Biba Store for some Indian awesomeness! Have a look!

May the bright lights of Diwali guide your way through every trial of life, brighten up your home with happiness and prosperity! May this Diwali be the most sparkling one filled with endless love & joy. Wishing my FamBam a very very HAPPY DIWALI!
